The astronomer E. Margaret Burbidge with J.E. Jardine, the supervisor of the Musser Copernican Planetarium, in 1967, when the planetarium was given to the University of California, San Diego, where Dr. Burbidge taught for many years. She was a trailblazer for women in her field.
