Watch a live broadcast on the newly discovered Earth-sized exoplanet.

The Slooh Community Observatory will be hosting a live webcast discussing the discovery of Kepler-452b, the first Earth-sized planet discovered to orbit a star similar to the sun. The broadcast will provide live views of Kepler-452, the parent star of the newly discovered planet.

Last month, the Slooh Community Observatory provided the first live broadcast of an exoplanet observation to the public. Now Slooh is offering the public an opportunity to view the parent star of the newly discovered Earth-sized exoplanet. [Watch The First Live Broadcast Of An Exoplanet Observation]

The Slooh Community Observatory will be providing a live broadcast of Kepler-452 starting at 8 p.m. EDT on Saturday, July 25. Host Will Gater will be joined by Dr. Seth Shostak, senior astronomer at SETI, as they discuss the discovery of Kepler-452b, how such planets are found and the search for life beyond Earth.
