LAVA WORLDS TO LIVING WORLDS: How a NASA mission sparked the search for life beyond the Solar System
Please join us tonight (Dec 5th) for the 2nd Distinguished Carl Sagan lecture 7pm (free and open to the public) at Kennedy Hall (Call Auditorium) at Cornell University. Natalie Batalha is a professor at UC Santa Cruz, the project scientist for NASA’s Kepler Mission, and an outstanding public speaker. Among many awards, in 2017, Prof. Batalha won Smithsonian Magazine’s American Ingenuity Award in Physical Sciences and was named to Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World.
Her talk will take you into the adventure of discovering new worlds orbiting alien Suns.
