Over 5000 Photometric Observations Logged to AAVSO database so far!

With the Red Dots campaign now only in its third week over 5000 observation (5431 to be precise) have been loaded into the AAVSO database which can be found at their website https://www.aavso.org. As the charts below show for both Ross 154 and Barnard’s star we are getting excellent coverage every night and for Proxima Centauri coverage has been very good as well.

A breakdown of the observations is given in the following table:

In future posts to the log we will have a look at some of the photometric data in more detail and learn a bit more about the dedicated astronomers carrying out the work.
