Construction has begun on the Apollo Command/Service doohickey. The nose is ready for nose weight. RockSim says 2 oz should raise the confidence level to 24%. One percent more and I might actually try it finless. But 2 oz seems like a lot of lead in such a small model. The internal strakes are installed and that leads me to the screwup. My notes gave the dimensions based on the tube diameter that would match the wraps...not the slightly downsized 3" one that I'm using. I could either pop them off or trim them in place. I'm going to try the latter. What a PITA.
