Leviathan, unexpected progress and, yes, ongoing woes

First, the progress. I had more free time and better weather than I had originally anticipated and the paint step is pretty much done. I also threw in the towel and installed the rear ring and motor retainer. 4FNC/single 29mm it is.If you pay attention to the photo you can see subtle changes in the tone of the paint. I have used Testors gold and copper with good luck but this paint sucks. I probably will regret not just painting over the whole thing but I am throwing in the towel and will move on to the holographic orange stickers. At least that step is immune to the weather.
