Notwithstanding the wind and any differences between the metallic graphite and other Testors paint, It appears that the majority of the problem is me. That's not surprising. Anyway, the good news is that the rocket will eventually be OK.I scored some orange sparkle holographic sticker stock, which I think will look great against the metallic graphite.
