But, what about the launch lug?

My original plan was to have rail buttons on the bottom side of the Chesapeake Sea Monster. Flipping the Tres mount around killed that idea. I then thought about lugs offset on the bottom just below the main wing. Last night, I decided that a lug on the centerline between the forward mounted motors would be better. But how? Well, I'm now thinking I'll put a 1/4" lug right on top of the 1/2" spar that makes up the back of the rocket. The vertical stabilizer would then be mounted on top of that. Maybe with additional reinforcement. And, I'd have to add another lug up higher. Unfortunately, I'm out of the hefty First Fire igniter tubes, which would have been perfect. I'll have to think about alternatives.
