This week, FedScoop announced a short list of government executives who are Cloud Innovation Heroes. We’re proud to celebrate two of NASA’s very own heroes: Roopangi Kadakia, Web Services Executive, and Karen Petraska, Service Executive for Computing Services – both from the Office of the Chief Information Officer.

Each has a video interview that will give you their perspectives on federal cloud adoption, best practices, service choice, and procurement, as well as challenges facing the government and public/private considerations.

Roopangi and Karen are in good company. Their fellow cloud heroes are: Steven VanRoekel, U.S. CIO, Executive Office of the President; Jennifer Gray, Lead Cloud Enterprise Architect of Office of Strategic Planning & Governance, HHS; Shawn Kingsberry, CIO, Recovery Accountability & Transparency Board; Veda Woods, CISO/Deputy CIO, Recovery Accountability & Transparency Board; Kathy Conrad, Principal Deputy Associate Administrator, Office of Citizen Services and Innovative Technologies, GSA; David Bray, CIO, FCC; Dr. Michael Valivullah, CTO, USDA; Matt Goodrich, Program Manager, FEDRAMP, GSA; and Taha Kass-Hout Chief Health Informatics Officer, FDA.

Congrats to all of you. You are our heroes too!
