The US Export-Import (Ex-Im) bank has approved a $105.4 million load to Israel and its Spacecom Space Communications Services company for the launch of the Amos-6 communications satellite on a Falcon 9 launch vehicle. The launch conducted by SpaceX is expected to take place in 2015. The Ex-Im bank has been active in providing both loan guarantees and direct loans for space projects benefiting the US space industry. Amos 6 is being built by Israel’s indigenous manufacturer Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd.
