Nicaragua signs turnkey contract with China Great Wall Industries Corp for Nicasat-1 comsat

Nicaragua’s Telcor (Nicaraguan Institute of Telecommunications and Post Office) has signed a turnkey construction and delivery-to-orbit contract with China’s China Great Wall Industries Corp (CGWIC) for Nicasat-1, a telecommuncations satellite. The contract is worth $254 million. The satellite will be launched by a Long March launch vehicle in Q3 2016.
