GSAT 15 and GSAT 16 to launch on an Ariane 5 ECA as SES-8 is delayed on Falcon 9 V1.1

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has selected Arianespace and its Ariane 5 launch vehicle to lauch its indigenously built GSAT 15 and GSAT 16 satellites to a Geostationary Transfer Orbit (GTO) on htey way to orbit. Meantime, Arianespace’s prime competitor SpaceX announced that its Falcon 9 V1.1 rocket has had its upcoming launch carrying the communicaions satellite SES-8 for SES delayed from 22 November to 25 November due to the need for extra launch preparations.
