The commercial version of the Minotaur launch vehicle, the Minotaur-C, has been selected to launched six Skybox imaging satellites, by Skybox Imaging. The Earth-imaging spacecraft, which have resolutions of up to 0.8m, will be launched into a 500km Sun-Synchronous near polar orbit on a single Minotaur-C launch from the Vandenberg launch site in California USA in late 2015. The exact details of the launch contract have not been revealed. The stages of the Minotaur-C differ from other variants in that they will be manufactured afresh by ATK rather than being reclaimed from ex-ballistic missiles.
