Students in Space!: For the first time, students in the UK have developed two experiments that will launch to the International Space Station in the coming days. Two brilliant young women from the teams that developed the experiments - Deanna Middleton and Siobhan Gnanakulendran - spoke this morning on the BBC about the importance of science in space.
The experiments are supported by the International Space School Educational Trust. The first experiments studies the response of antibiotics to the conditions of space flight. The second examines the response and survivability of slime molds in microgravity.
