That’s quite an ominous name for an observatory. Hope it doesn’t put people off.
Do you live in the Cork (Ireland) area and have nothing much to do at 8pm on Saturday 24 October? Good news time: you can schmooze on down to the Blackrock Castle Observatory and GAZE at STARS and THINGS.
Professional astronomers will point out what to see, accompanied by a guitar/harmony swing trio. Sounds like they’ve been kidnapped from the Cork Jazz Festival. The musicians, not the astronomers.
If you demand tickets then go to Pro Musica, Oliver Plunkett Street, Cork. Tell them the Galilean Nights LiveBlog sent you, then report back with the expression on their faces. Most likely: confusion.
