Nice weather and a Galilean Nights event. Portugal is the country that has it all!
Lina Canas, of Navegar Foundation (Centro Multimeios de Espinho, Portugal) fame has scheduled an event called Dinner on Mars. Over to Lina, [with some LiveBlog comments added in]:
“Have you ever wondered how it would be like to drink a nice cup of coffee on the moon? [YES] Or perhaps to eat ice-cream while orbiting Saturn and its rings? [YES] And how it would be like… to dine on Mars? [YES YES YES]
Espinho Planetarium invites all of you to join us on October 24th to dine underneath the stars and navigate through interplanetary space. [I would like to accept this invitation]
Before dinner we will have night sky observations [yes but what’s for dinner?] for all the participants and then head back to the planetarium [for dinner?] where, while comfortably sitting at dinner table, [dinner then?] we will explain the importance of Galileo’s discoveries along the main stops of our journey. [And dinner?]
