As the night of August 28th wore on, it seemed that less and less people tweeted about the night sky using the hastag: #thegreatlookup. Instead the tweets were mostly about the shuttle launch, and mistakenly a few Astrotwitterers proposed #shuttlewatch. Now when reviewing the tweets from #thegreatlookup you will mostly find tweets mixed up with, #shuttlewatch, #Discovery, #sts128, and anything else having to do with NASA or the recent launch of space shuttle Discovery. Though this was not the intention of the original event, it still turned out great! Since the shuttle launches are streamed LIVE online everyone had a great view of liftoff and we were able to have a few people see their first ever Shuttle Launch! Still we astronomy enthusiasts/astronomers/spacenuts share the wonders of space and the night sky with all. Thanks for the wonderful time everyone and as always it was lots of fun!
