Daily cosmobite: comet closest to the Sun

Comet PANSTARRS was discovered by a survey telescope located on top of a Hawaiian volcano. Tomorrow the comet makes its closest approach to the Sun at a distance of 45 million km. Although the comet maybe at its brightest, it is close to the Sun and hard to see. Look for it tonight with binoculars close to the western horizon after dusk.
